Raquel has been named an honorary TLC 2023 fellow, successfully completing the fellowship while helping us staff the program.
Raquel Isaac (she/her) is a Trinidadian-American, from Aurora. She graduated from University of Colorado Denver. Her passions lie with seeking justice for marginalized communities most affected by the intersections of race, identity and health. She has been working with Right2Learn Dignity Lab, whose current goal is to make education a fundamental right.
She is very family oriented, with a large Trinidadian family. Since the passing of her brother, she has been raising her two young nephews for over 3 years now. Her hobbies include playing sports like soccer, volleyball and basketball, playing video games with her nephews or reading books.
