Candace Johnson is the Deputy Director for Organizational Strength at Jobs With Justice, where she leads the organization’s systems and infrastructure work. With over 15 years of cross-sector experience, Candace is a dedicated advocate for systemic change and shifting structural power to communities historically marginalized by inequitable systems.
Her career includes organizing with Food and Water Watch, serving as the State Director of Colorado Jobs With Justice, and acting as the Denver Metro Area Community Partner for The Colorado Trust. She is a member of the Governing Council for Transformative Leadership for Change and serves on the board of the SEIU Education & Support Fund.
Prior to her national role at Jobs With Justice, Candace led Up and Ahead Consulting, where she specialized in building cross-sector alliances and directing large-scale organizational change, with a focus on innovation, equity, and operational strength.
She lives in Denver with her two children.
